Text-Osterone is an extremely easy-to-use program for generating animated text effects in seconds. Choose from more than 200 customizable effects. The program outputs Macromedia Flash FLA, SWF, HTML, and self-executable files and QuickTime movies. It works with your installed TrueType and Postscript fonts. You can add multiple lines of text and mix and match effects on different blocks of text in a single file. You also can add click actions for launching Web pages or loading other SWF movie files. Save project files so you can work on your text effects later. Version 1.117 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

• "Create Flash-animated text effects"

Creating cool animated text effects is easy with this application from the makers of SWF 'n Slide. Separate floating windows let you control different aspects of your text. First, you can choose from any font on your hard drive, select colors, and control the length of your animation. Then you can choose from a huge number of animation effects, including Blow Out, Hyper Stretch, and Bouncing. Once you're finished, you can export the animation as Flash, HTML, or QuickTime files. The learning curve is very low, and enabled us to see our first animations in less than three minutes. We think the demo limitation might be a bit much--the program doubles all the letters in your animations; a time-limited demo with full features would have been just as effective. However, that's nothing compared to the ease of use and amazing number of animations. Both beginning and professional Web designers interested in adding text effects to their sites or presentations should check out this program.
